Study international law multidisciplinary and internationally in a global network

Leuphana University Lüneburg is receiving €4.63 million in funding from the European Union for its innovative international master’s programme in International Law of Security, Peace and Sustainable Development (ILSPSD). The joint Master’s programme, run by a consortium of six renowned European universities, is offered as part of the European Commission’s Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programme, which focuses on excellence in higher education, and is coordinated by Leuphana as the lead university.

INTRACOMP: What role does collaborative cultural expression play in increasingly inter- and transcultural societies?

The European Commission has announced that it will award nearly 3 million Euros to a consortium of 13 universities and arts organizations across Europe and the South Pacific, to advance cultural democracy. The project is entitled “Intercultural and Transcultural Competence Through Collaborative Cultural Expression” (INTRACOMP), and will develop global, regional and national educational frameworks and policy directives for arts and culture.

Project GEDIS investigates gender roles in information science

In the project ‘Gender Diversity in Information Science: Challenges in Higher Education’ (GEDIS), the team is investigating gender aspects in library and information science degree programmes. It is looking at teaching materials, curricula and academic citation practices. Initial results show that the gender perspective is hardly addressed in curricula. An analysis of the reading lists used by all partners in their teaching clearly shows that women are severely underrepresented in the works cited.

EduAId: Transforming education with AI micro-qualifications for educators and teachers

EduAId (Transforming Education with AI Micro-credentials for Educators, Teachers, and School Heads) aims to foster change in the educational landscape by integrating AI-related tools and practices through a micro-credentials approach, targeting teachers, school heads, and educators.

When students meet policy makers: Undergraduate research in European parliaments

Students from all disciplines are given the opportunity to present their research findings in the five national parliaments of cooperation partners and in the European Parliament in Brussels. This creates a strong European network for student research at an institutional and individual level.

baSE – University of Hildesheim is a partner of the Blueprint Alliance for the Social Economy

The University of Hildesheim, together with Innova eG, represents Germany in the Blueprint Alliance for the Social Economy. Over a period of four years, the alliance, consisting of 25 partner organisations from ten European countries, is implementing a cooperation strategy to identify the skills needs in social economy organisations and develop a suitable training programme.
